A Minecraft: Java Edition server on Paper, Purpur, Vanilla, Fabric, NeoForge, Forge or a Modrinth modpack, with the right Java picked for you. Add plugins and mods in one click, keep your friends on a whitelist, and move between versions with a copy of your world first.
0 onlineYour squad decides how many.
Every plan runs on the same hardware with the same backups and the same panel. The only difference is memory, so pick by how many of you play at once.
Party plays well with 30.

Every setting Minecraft: Java Edition exposes is yours from the panel. Change it, restart, done. Nobody else has admin, and nobody else gets a vote unless you give them one.
Difficulty, rates, rules, passwords and who gets in. If the game can do it, you can set it. If it needs a config file, the panel opens it for you.
New servers keep a whitelist. Type your Minecraft name in the panel once: you go on the whitelist and become operator. Add each friend’s name in Players, or let them in with one click after they try to join, then paste the address in Discord.

Everyone needs Minecraft: Java Edition on the server’s version (the launcher can pick any version under Installations). Bedrock players can join through Geyser on Paper or Purpur once GeyserMC supports the server’s Minecraft version.

Everything we know about running Minecraft: Java Edition, written down. Follow the guides on your own PC, or let the server do it for you.
In our tests a new Paper 26.3 world used about 1.3 to 1.6 GB, Vanilla about 1.1 GB, and the Cobblemon modpack (108 mods) about 1.9 GB before anyone explored; on the Party plan Zombie Invade 100 Days (156 mods) took about 3.6 GB and Prominence II (527 mods) about 7.5 GB, so it belongs on Clan. Players who travel far and farms use more. Squad (4 GB): Vanilla or Paper with 5 to 15 friends, or a light modpack. Party (8 GB): most modpacks, or Paper with many plugins. Clan (12 GB): heavy modpacks and community servers. If the server runs out of memory, the panel says so and what to change. Move up a plan without losing anything.
New servers keep a whitelist, so strangers can’t walk in. Type your Minecraft name in the panel once: you go on the whitelist and become operator. Add each friend’s name in Players (even while the server is off), or turn the whitelist off in Settings. Then everyone adds the server under Multiplayer with the address from your panel.
Paper (the default: vanilla gameplay, faster, with plugins), Purpur, Vanilla, Fabric, NeoForge, Forge, or a modpack from Modrinth. Pick one and a version in the panel; the server installs it from its official source with the Java that version needs. Changing software or version makes a copy of your worlds first, and the panel won’t load a world in an older version than the one it was played on.
Search Modrinth from your panel and add a plugin (Paper, Purpur) or a mod (Fabric, NeoForge, Forge) in one click. On the next start the server downloads the version made for your Minecraft version, with everything it needs; one without a version yet is skipped and the panel says so. Each one shows its author and links to its page. Files you upload yourself to plugins/ or mods/ load too.
Yes. Pick a modpack from Modrinth in the panel, or a version of it; the server installs the pack, its loader and its Minecraft version, and leaves out mods that only run on players’ computers (many packs list minimaps and graphics mods for servers too; the console names each one it set aside). If a pack needs files Modrinth doesn’t host, the panel lists each one with its link to upload in Files. For a pack from CurseForge, pick its loader and version, then upload its mods and config folders in Files. Big packs need the Party or Clan plan.
Your server stays on its version until you pick a new one, because every player has to update and plugins and mods need new versions too. The panel tells you when a new release is out. Paper and Purpur builds for your version update on their own at each restart.
Yes. Zip your world folder (a singleplayer world from your Minecraft saves folder, a Realm backup, or your old host’s world folder), upload it in Files and import it in World. Or move for free: open a support ticket with the world or your old host’s login details, which we delete as soon as the move is done. We load it on your server and tell you when it is ready.
On Paper or Purpur, turn on Bedrock players in Settings: the server adds Geyser and Floodgate (by GeyserMC), and Bedrock players on phones and Windows join with the IP and port the panel shows, no Java account needed. Geyser supports each new Minecraft version a little after it comes out; until then the panel says it isn’t ready. Consoles need a workaround to add a server.
One click sets a daily restart at 5:00 that waits until nobody is on (3 hours at most). Timed restarts warn everyone in the game chat from up to 30 minutes, and the server saves first.
Usually a name that isn’t on the whitelist or a different Minecraft version. When the whitelist keeps someone out, the panel shows who tried to join with a button to let them in. The console says the rest in plain words: someone is banned, has a different game version or is missing the server’s mods, couldn’t be verified by Mojang, or found the server full. The port is already open.
Yes, for free. Every server has three backup slots with your worlds, settings, player lists, plugin and mod settings (the server software and the plugins and mods we download again stay out, so backups stay small). Take one before a big change, or schedule one every night. Restore, download or lock any backup in one click.
