A Valheim dedicated server your crew can sail into any time, with crossplay between Steam and Xbox, no port forwarding and no host PC. Online in minutes, your world, your rules.
0 onlineYour squad decides how many.
Every plan runs on the same hardware with the same backups and the same panel. The only difference is memory, so pick by how many of you play at once.
Party plays well with 8.

Every setting Valheim exposes is yours from the panel. Change it, restart, done. Nobody else has admin, and nobody else gets a vote unless you give them one.
Difficulty, rates, rules, passwords and who gets in. If the game can do it, you can set it. If it needs a config file, the panel opens it for you.
No invites to accept, no accounts to link. The server has an address and a password. Paste them in Discord and the setup is over.

The join code changes when the server restarts. It is on the server’s panel page so nobody has to dig through logs.

Everything we know about running Valheim, written down. Follow the guides on your own PC, or let the server do it for you.

Recover a Valheim world safely: rule out a wrong save path, preserve every file and test a known-good backup on an isolated copy.

Find the Valheim save location on Windows, Linux, Xbox, Game Pass, or a server, then confirm which copy to protect before you touch it.

Check Valheim client-side mods against package requirements, dependencies and server rules before you join a shared world.
Our starting recommendations are 4 GB for four players, 6 GB for eight and 8 GB for ten. These are plan recommendations, not measured requirements for every world. Check your actual busy sessions, CPU and memory use, and mod compatibility before choosing or changing plans.
Yes. Start the server with crossplay enabled and Steam, Xbox and Microsoft Store players share one world through a join code. Steam players can still join by address.
Valheim is built for ten Vikings at a time. Mods can raise that, but the game gets grumpy past it. Pick a plan by how many play at once, not by how many are in the Discord.
Yes, and we can move it for free: open a support ticket with a .zip of the world, or your old host’s login details (deleted as soon as the move is done). Since Valheim 1.0 each world is a folder in worlds_local (its .fwl2 and .db2 files plus chunks); you can also upload it yourself and the server continues where you left off. Older .db and .fwl worlds still work: Valheim converts them the first time the server loads them.
Valheim community mods commonly use BepInEx. Check each package’s game-version support, dependencies and client/server requirements; not every plugin belongs on every client. Confirm server OS, file access and support for your exact mod list with us before choosing a plan. Console compatibility requires a separate check.
Time in Valheim only passes while someone is playing, but the server itself is always there. Whoever logs in first plays right away, without waiting for a host to boot up.
Yes, for free, in two layers. Every server has three panel backup slots you can take by hand or on a schedule, and restore, download or lock in one click. On top of that, Valheim keeps its own copies of the world, and you choose how many and how often in the panel settings.
The server updates every time it starts, because players’ games update themselves and can’t join a server that is behind. You decide: if your BepInEx mods are not ready for the new version, turn automatic updates off in the panel and the server stays on its version until you turn them back on. Players on PC, Xbox and PlayStation all need the same version to join.
