An Evrima server for The Isle, for your pack or your community. Tick which of the 22 species are playable and the change applies at once, tune growth, AI and migrations from a form, and watch every player’s dinosaur on a live map of Gateway. It updates itself the day a patch is out and copies every player’s dinosaur before each start.
0 onlineYour squad decides how many.
Every plan runs on the same hardware with the same backups and the same panel. The only difference is memory, so pick by how many of you play at once.
Party plays well with 60.

Evrima servers are found by name. Everyone switches The Isle to the evrima branch on Steam once, then searches your server’s name in the Unofficial tab. To keep it to your group, turn on the whitelist and add their SteamID64s in Players.
The Isle servers are for PC players on Steam, on the evrima branch; the game has no console version. A new or restarted server shows up in the list 2–5 minutes after it’s ready.
server's up. 203.0.113.42:29700
search “Kuri’s Gateway” in Unofficial. evrima branch.
In our tests a new Evrima server (0.21.772) used about 1.1 to 1.3 GB with nobody on and the official AI animals. Players, AI animals and corpses add the rest, and AI animals use more memory and CPU than players. Squad (8 GB): about 30 players. Party (12 GB): about 60. Clan (16 GB): about 100. These are guides, not caps: set max players anywhere from 1 to 300 (the plans are sized for about 30, 60 and 100), and lower the AI density first if a busy server lags. Move up a plan without losing anything.
In Steam, right-click The Isle, open Properties → Betas and pick evrima; the default branch is the old Legacy, which can’t see Evrima servers. Then open The Isle, choose Play, open the Unofficial tab and search your server’s name. Players join by name, not by address.
No. The Isle is a PC game on Steam: there is no console version and no crossplay. Every player needs The Isle on Steam, on the evrima branch.
Usually one of four things: their game is still on the default Legacy branch instead of evrima, they are looking outside the Unofficial tab, the server started less than 5 minutes ago (new and restarted servers take 2–5 minutes to show in the list), or a patch just came out and one side hasn’t updated yet. Your server updates by itself, so ask them to update The Isle in Steam and search your server’s exact name.
Your server keeps up by itself. Every 20 minutes it checks Steam for a new Evrima build; when there is one, it warns players in game and restarts on the new version 10 minutes later, or at once if nobody is on. A server behind the game drops out of the list and turns away updated players, so this stays on.
Yes. Every one of Evrima’s 22 playable species is on by default; turn that off and tick only the ones you want. The change reaches the running server at once, no restart. The same form sets growth speed, mutations, diets, humans, region spawning, migrations, patrol zones, AI animals and their density, day and night length, weather and more. Other Game.ini keys stay editable in Files while the server is stopped.
No. Afterthought hasn’t released modding for Evrima and there is no Workshop. Server plugins built on UE4SS aren’t available on our servers. The settings the game gives server owners are in the panel, and the rest of Game.ini is in Files.
Add your SteamID64 (the 17 digits from your Steam profile) to Admins in Players; it takes effect on the next restart. From the panel you also see who is on, kick, ban and unban, and keep a whitelist that applies at once. Send announcements to everyone in game, or type the game’s RCON commands in the console.
The game sometimes loses player data when a server restarts; Afterthought lists it as a known issue. So before every start your server copies every player’s dinosaur, and the last 10 copies stay, apart from your backups. Put a copy back in one click and every player’s dinosaur returns to that moment on the next start; bans stay as they are. The game keeps every dinosaur in one database, so it can’t bring back one player’s alone. For a new season, Delete every dinosaur wipes them all, with a copy made first.
The Isle servers take more memory over long sessions and AI animals pile up, so yours restarts by itself: once it has run 6 hours, as soon as nobody is on, and after 24 hours at the latest with a 10-minute warning in game. It saves and copies the dinosaurs first. Add your own restarts with a countdown in game, or schedule announcements and commands like wipecorpses.
Yes. The panel draws Gateway with every player’s dinosaur on it: species, growth, health and sector, refreshed every few seconds while you watch (map imagery: VulnonaMAP by Coco.N). The killfeed lists the deaths and kills the game logs, and the admin log shows which admin ran which command; both can also go to your Discord. Players install nothing.
Yes, for free: open a support ticket with your old Game.ini and a .zip of the TheIsle/Saved folder, or your old host’s login details, which we delete as soon as the move is done. We put your settings, admins and bans in place, bring the players’ dinosaurs over when the game can read their save on our servers, and tell you when it is ready.
Yes, for free. Every server has three backup slots with your settings and the players’ dinosaurs (the game downloads again, so backups stay small). Take one before a wipe or a big change, or schedule one every night. Restore, download or lock any backup in one click.
