Host Havoc lists a 40-slot Arma Reforger server for $20 per month with 8 GB of RAM. It may suit groups that want its listed locations and support offer; compare Game Hosting’s Arma Reforger plans if you prefer published memory tiers, a named CPU and three backup slots with panel controls. Host Havoc’s page currently shows 12 GB and 16 GB memory upgrades as paid options, so the right comparison is the complete monthly total for the configuration you intend to use—not the base price alone.
For a broader provider checklist beyond this single-host comparison, see our best Arma Reforger server hosting guide.
We recommend Game Hosting for groups that value clearly published 8, 12 or 16 GB tiers, a named Ryzen 9 9900X with four CPU threads, and backup controls documented on the product page. Host Havoc has a meaningful advantage for groups that need a wider location list: it advertises 14 locations, round-the-clock technical support and an average ticket response under 10 minutes. That response time is the provider’s claim, not a support test. Neither host’s published specifications establish which server will perform better for your scenario and mods.
What does a 40-slot Host Havoc Arma Reforger server cost?#
The Host Havoc US offer we checked lists the 40-slot configuration at $20 monthly. The same configurator shows 8 GB included, 12 GB for an additional $7.50 per month, and 16 GB for an additional $15. It lists high CPU priority for $4 extra and BattleMetrics RCON for $3 extra per month. That makes the monthly memory totals $20, $27.50 and $35 before optional CPU priority, RCON, taxes or any other checkout item.
| Configuration shown for 40 slots | Monthly price before other options |
|---|---|
| 8 GB, included | $20.00 |
| 12 GB | $27.50 |
| 16 GB | $35.00 |
| High CPU priority | Add $4.00 |
| BattleMetrics RCON | Add $3.00 |
Host Havoc’s selector offers other slot counts, but the public static price we could verify was for 40 slots. We don’t infer the price of a 50, 64 or 128-slot configuration from that entry. Likewise, a slot count is not a RAM allocation: ask what memory and CPU resources come with the precise slot option in your cart. Host Havoc also advertises discounts for longer billing terms. Check the selected term, renewal amount and optional extras on the live order page before paying.
For a broader explanation of monthly billing and what changes a server’s total, see our Arma Reforger server cost guide. It covers plan sizing separately from this Host Havoc-specific offer.
How do Host Havoc and Game Hosting compare on published resources?#
The most useful side-by-side is memory tier and monthly cost, with the limits of each offer visible. Host Havoc starts with 8 GB attached to a 40-slot plan; its larger memory amounts are add-ons. Game Hosting publishes plans by RAM. The table combines the listed base with Host Havoc’s memory add-on, before optional CPU priority or RCON.
| RAM comparison | Host Havoc, 40-slot base plus RAM option | Game Hosting monthly plan | CPU and location details published |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8 GB | $20.00 | $19.99 | Game Hosting names Ryzen 9 9900X, four threads; Host Havoc’s product page lists Xeon/Ryzen families, not a per-plan model. |
| 12 GB | $27.50 | $26.99 | Host Havoc’s 12 GB is a paid add-on to its 40-slot base. |
| 16 GB | $35.00 | $34.99 | Host Havoc’s 16 GB is a paid add-on to its 40-slot base. |
These monthly prices are close. They are not a performance comparison: CPU labels and allocations differ, and we have not benchmarked matching Reforger servers under the same player count, scenario, mod list and network conditions. Game Hosting lists its current service in Dallas. Host Havoc lists 14 locations across North America, Europe, Singapore and Sydney, which can be a better geographic fit for a distributed group. Choose a location based on where your players connect from, and confirm the selected location and total in checkout.
For Game Hosting, the current Arma Reforger plan page publishes the plan memory, CPU model and threads, plus three free backup slots. Host Havoc publishes slot pricing and configurable memory on its Reforger offer page. Compare what is actually assigned to your chosen configuration; don’t treat “40 slots” as a promise that a server will sustain 40 simultaneous players in every scenario.
How do mods, scenarios and crossplay work?#
Host Havoc’s June 2026 guides describe editing serverconfig.json in the panel’s Config Editor. The Reforger mod entries use Workshop IDs with names and versions; its scenario guide says to add the scenario’s Workshop item and set the ScenarioID. These are instructions in the provider’s published guides, not steps we tested in a customer panel. Game Hosting documents Workshop mod, scenario and crossplay controls in its own Reforger panel. For either host, confirm that your exact mod and scenario combination works on the server build your group uses.
Arma Reforger’s cross-platform setting is a server choice. Bohemia documents game.crossPlatform=true for combined PC, Xbox and PlayStation crossplay and false for PC-only play. It does not provide a documented toggle for PC plus only Xbox or PC plus only PlayStation. Host Havoc’s advertising that it supports PC with Xbox and PS5 is consistent with the combined option, but it does not mean every Workshop item is compatible with all three platforms.
Version matching matters too. In the Bohemia notices checked for this guide, Stable 1.8.0.13 was released for all platforms on September 3, 2026. Experimental 1.9.0.10 was listed separately on September 22 for Steam and Xbox Experimental applications. Experimental and Stable are incompatible, and no PS5 Experimental client was listed in the notices reviewed. Check the current official Arma Reforger news before a planned update because release status can change.
Console Workshop storage is limited: Bohemia’s PS5 storage statement says 25 GB, and its mod-use guide lists 25 GB on PlayStation 5 and 50 GB on Xbox. These are platform allocations, not a guarantee that a whole collection fits in a player’s remaining space. A PC collection may not fit, and an item being visible in Bohemia Workshop does not guarantee it supports console clients. Keep the group’s version, crossplay setting and console-compatible mod list aligned. Our crossplay guide for PC, Xbox and PS5 explains those platform choices in more detail.
What should you check before restarting or changing a save?#
Host Havoc documents scheduled daily or repeating restart tasks, including an option to wait until the server is empty. That can avoid interrupting a session when players are still connected, but the guide does not say that the task sends an in-game warning. Its backup guide says an automatic backup runs nightly at 2:45 a.m.; it also describes manual backups, downloading an archive as a ZIP and restoring a selected copy after stopping the server.
The Host Havoc Reforger guide does not say how many backups are retained, how long they are kept, or whether these particular Reforger copies are stored off-site. The general product page advertises off-site backups, but the narrower Reforger guide does not establish their exact storage policy. Ask support for the current retention and restore details if those affect your decision. Game Hosting documents three backup slots and panel controls for scheduled and manual copies, download, restore and lock. This is a description of published controls, not a claim that we tested a restore on either provider.
Before a world wipe, scenario change, major mod replacement or restore, confirm that a backup from before the change exists and that you know how to recover it. A restore can replace current state; a button being available is not proof that the selected save is the one you need. Keep the scenario and mod IDs with your recovery notes so that the saved world can be restarted in a compatible setup.
Which provider fits your Arma Reforger group?#
Choose Host Havoc if its 14 listed locations are useful to your players, you want to select a slot count and add RAM separately, or you value its advertised round-the-clock support and under-10-minute average ticket response. Its June 9, 2026 general FAQ describes a refund request within 72 hours for a dissatisfied first purchase. That is a conditional refund policy, not a free trial; eligibility and current terms matter. The same FAQ describes prorated account credit for qualifying longer commitments rather than a cash refund. Read the current checkout and terms before you rely on either point.
Choose Game Hosting if you prefer buying a stated RAM tier, seeing a named CPU and thread allocation, and managing backup copies through the panel. Its published tradeoffs include a Dallas location and specialist support with a response within 24 hours; it does not match Host Havoc’s advertised location spread or ticket speed. Neither the two CPU descriptions nor the provider’s marketing claims replace a workload test. If response time or location is decisive, compare those terms directly for the place your group will play.
| Your priority | A reasonable fit based on current published information |
|---|---|
| Select among 14 listed locations | Host Havoc |
| Start with a 40-slot plan and add RAM | Host Havoc |
| See 8/12/16 GB tiers and named CPU details | Game Hosting |
| Use three documented backup slots and panel recovery controls | Game Hosting |
| Prioritize the provider’s advertised round-the-clock support and under-10-minute ticket response | Host Havoc |
The choice depends on which published tradeoff fits your group. Compare the exact configuration, term and policies rather than assuming that a slot count, “high priority” label or advertised response time guarantees a particular in-game result.
Does Host Havoc offer a free trial or a refund?#
Host Havoc’s general server FAQ, published June 9, 2026, says a first-time customer can request a full refund within 72 hours if dissatisfied. Its longer-commitment wording distinguishes prorated account credit from a cash refund and excludes monthly services. The article does not establish the exact eligibility of every Reforger configuration, add-on or account. It is not a free trial. Read the current Host Havoc FAQ and terms before ordering, and save a copy of the terms presented at checkout.
The bottom line: Host Havoc’s 40-slot entry plan is $20 monthly with 8 GB included, and its options can raise the memory and feature total. Game Hosting’s similarly priced RAM tiers may suit buyers who want memory and CPU details stated up front, while Host Havoc is a plausible fit when locations, slot selection or its stated support terms carry more weight. Check build compatibility, console mod support and the backup recovery path before you move a persistent group.
