You will need

  • Your group’s preferred memory tier
  • The platforms and mods your players need
  • A region close to the group, if available

XGamingServer Arma Reforger plans are listed by memory, and the public sale page and checkout differ in some hardware details. If your priority is published same-size pricing, four listed threads on each plan and included backup controls, we recommend Game Hosting’s Reforger plans. XGamingServer has a broader region menu and useful free tools, so it may fit your group better if those matter most. This comparison checks public plan details on October 17, 2026, and shows what to confirm before you pay.

Compare XGamingServer Arma Reforger plans by recurring price#

At the same listed memory size, Game Hosting’s monthly price is lower in the 8, 12 and 16 GB tiers. The table uses regular monthly prices, not a first-month coupon. Equal memory does not guarantee equal usable capacity, but it gives you a clear starting point for comparing the published plans.

Provider and plan Listed memory Listed CPU threads Regular monthly price What the plan page says
Game Hosting Squad 8 GB 4 $19.99 Ryzen 9 9900X; three backup slots included
XGamingServer Rookie 8 GB 3 $25 Ryzen 9 7950X; guaranteed RAM listed
Game Hosting Party 12 GB 4 $26.99 Ryzen 9 9900X; three backup slots included
XGamingServer Pro 12 GB 4 $35 Ryzen 9 7950X; guaranteed RAM listed
Game Hosting Clan 16 GB 4 $34.99 Ryzen 9 9900X; three backup slots included
XGamingServer ProMax 16 GB 6 $45 Ryzen 9 7950X; guaranteed RAM listed

XGamingServer’s Reforger sales page currently shows five monthly plans, beginning with Novice at 6 GB for $15 regular monthly ($10.50 promotional first month). The Novice checkout also lists 6 GB, not a 4 GB Starter tier. It shows 2 threads and a Ryzen 7950X at 4.50 GHz. These are live-page details, not a price guarantee; confirm the recurring total, selected tier and region in checkout.

If you are unsure whether 8, 12 or 16 GB is the right amount, our Arma Reforger RAM guide explains why player count, AI, scenario and mods all matter. The player counts shown on Game Hosting’s plans are recommendations, not hard slot caps.

The sales page lists promotional first-month prices as well as regular monthly renewals: Rookie is $17.50/$25, Pro $24.50/$35, ProMax $31.50/$45 and Ultimate $42/$60. Check the selected product name, memory, thread allocation, billing period and region together; a price copied from a banner may refer only to its first invoice. If those fields do not match what you intended, ask the provider before paying.

Compare the listed CPU and threads without assuming faster#

XGamingServer names a Ryzen 9 7950X. Its current plan page lists 3 threads at 8 GB, 4 at 12 GB and 6 at 16 GB; the 6 GB Novice checkout lists 2 threads. Game Hosting lists a Ryzen 9 9900X with four threads on each Reforger plan. Those details tell you what each provider publishes, not which server will run your particular mod pack faster.

The XGamingServer sales page says 5.7 GHz, while the Novice checkout labels the CPU at 4.50 GHz. The page and checkout conflict, so this comparison does not select a clock figure or rank the hosts by speed. Workload, scenario, mod set, server build and how a provider provisions a CPU all affect the result.

For a specific group, ask what is included in the selected tier and compare only details the provider confirms for that tier. A plan labeled 8 GB is one data point, not proof that two hosts reserve or expose memory in identical ways. Our guide to choosing an Arma Reforger host covers other selection factors such as platform mix, mod plans and admin workflow.

Decide whether backup and region options fit your group#

Game Hosting includes three backup slots with scheduling or manual creation, restore, download and lock controls. Its newest backup is copied off-site daily; three slots are a rotating set, not unlimited retention. XGamingServer’s Reforger page advertises daily cloud backups retained for seven days. Its separate general panel backup guide describes user-scheduled backups, a five-backup maximum and at most three created in 24 hours. These are provider claims with different stated scopes; this comparison did not exercise either host’s backup or restore flow.

Before a wipe, scenario change, version update or restore, confirm that a recent backup exists and that you know the recovery steps. A backup does not prove that a save will be compatible with a new version or mod set. If your world matters, keep a separate copy before making a change and check what the restore will replace.

Location choice is one area where XGamingServer has the broader public offer. Its current Novice cart showed East Coast US, West Coast US, Germany, Sydney and Singapore. Its homepage advertises six global locations, so use the selected cart’s list for that tier and confirm your chosen location at checkout. Game Hosting’s Reforger offer specifies Dallas. A location list is not a ping test: choose the region that makes sense for your players, then check latency from their actual networks if that matters to your group.

Use XGamingServer’s free tools with another host#

XGamingServer publishes a free Reforger configuration generator and dependency resolver for Bohemia Workshop mods. These are public tools, so they can help even if your server is hosted elsewhere. Its configuration editor docs describe configuration editing, scenario selection, Workshop search and RCON controls. Treat those as descriptions of its product, not as a hands-on audit of its paid panel.

The generator can give you a JSON starting point, but review the result against Bohemia’s current server configuration documentation and your server’s version before applying it. XGaming’s tool and its docs are not fully consistent about dependency order; use Bohemia’s guidance and each mod’s requirements when deciding what to install. The actual Reforger Workshop belongs to Bohemia, not Steam Workshop.

Keep a copy of the working JSON before importing a generated revision. Compare the changed fields and verify that the scenario identifier, crossplay choice and mod list are valid for your target release. A generator saves typing, but it cannot establish that a chosen mod is compatible with every client or that a hosted panel accepts every field. If you use a different provider, follow that provider’s documented import path and check the server log after applying the file.

The tools may be the deciding factor if you enjoy configuring a server yourself or want to prepare settings before choosing a host. If you would rather keep the server online without maintaining a PC, a managed plan is another route. Our Nitrado plans and alternatives comparison shows another way monthly host offers can be structured.

Keep platform, version and mods compatible#

Arma Reforger’s current Stable and Experimental branches are separate. Bohemia’s release notes checked October 17 list Stable 1.8.0.13 and Experimental 1.9.0.10 for the separate Steam and Xbox Experimental apps; Stable and Experimental clients are not interchangeable, and PS5 does not have an Experimental client. Confirm the branch you need before committing to an update or mod set.

Bohemia documents crossPlatform: true for PC, Xbox and PlayStation together, and false for PC only. It is not a picker for a custom pair such as Xbox plus PS5. Game Hosting runs a dedicated PC server and its current Reforger panel exposes the crossplay setting, so console clients join through the game’s crossplay rules rather than hosting the server themselves. PS5 supports mods, but every mod must support the platforms in your group. Console Workshop storage is also finite: Bohemia documents 25 GB on PS5 and 50 GB on Xbox. A pack that fits the PC can still exceed a console’s available space.

These are game rules, not a guarantee that a particular host panel exposes every setting in the same way. Check the provider’s current controls and the mod’s Bohemia Workshop platform details. If you change a mod set, scenario or version on a persistent server, first make sure you have a usable backup and a recovery path.

Choose the host that matches your group’s priorities#

Choose Game Hosting if you want same-memory monthly prices below XGamingServer’s 8/12/16 GB tiers, four listed threads on each of those plans, and three included backup slots with scheduling and restore controls. These are documented plan and panel features, not a performance ranking or a restore test.

Choose XGamingServer if its wider region menu or free Reforger tools solve a more important need for your group. Its public guide library can also help you understand configuration before you rent. Compare the selected checkout line item, thread allocation, region and backup terms rather than relying on a generic plan label.

For a broader checklist of hardware, mods, crossplay and saves, start with how to choose an Arma Reforger host. Whichever route you pick, make one current backup before changing a world that your group wants to keep.

Quick answers

Is XGamingServer good for Arma Reforger?

It may fit if you value its free Reforger tools and broader region choices. Compare its recurring checkout price and listed resources with the other hosts you are considering.

Can I use XGamingServer’s config generator with another host?

Yes. The public generator exports a Reforger configuration file, so you can use the output as a starting point with another host or a self-managed server.

How many CPU threads does an XGamingServer Reforger plan get?

Its current plan page lists 3 threads at 8 GB, 4 at 12 GB and 6 at 16 GB. The Novice checkout lists 2 threads at 6 GB; confirm the selected cart item before ordering.

Does XGamingServer support PS5 mods?

Arma Reforger supports mods on PS5, but each mod must also list the platform support your group needs. Check a mod’s Bohemia Workshop details before adding it to a shared server.
