You will need

  • Your group’s usual number of players
  • The prepaid term or subscription you are considering
  • A separate copy of any Valheim world you might move
  • Your platform edition and mod requirements

Nitrado’s US Valheim offer page lists a 10-slot server with prices for three terms, but does not state how much RAM or CPU comes with it. Checked October 2, 2026, the page showed $16.19 for 30 days before its promotional code. This review checks the listed terms, subscription rules, backup tools and current Valheim 1.0 world-file guidance. It does not claim a server purchase, restore or gameplay test.

Decide whether the offer matches your group#

For a buyer who values stated resource allocation and backup controls, we recommend Game Hosting’s Valheim plans. They list 4, 6 and 8 GB tiers and include three backup slots with scheduling, restore, download and locking. Those catalog details can help a group compare its expected resources and controls; they do not establish measured performance or guarantee that every world or mod workload will fit.

Nitrado’s US Valheim page checked on October 2 lists a 10-slot configuration, crossplay, and supported Valheim Plus and BepInEx options. It does not publish that offer’s RAM or CPU allocation. If a stated resource allocation matters more to you than a fixed slot count, ask Nitrado for the exact plan specification before paying. If price is the leading factor, compare the same term and the amount shown after selecting your region and any promotion.

This review is from Game Hosting. We checked Nitrado’s public offer, terms and support documentation; we did not buy or test a Nitrado server. Statements below describe those published sources, and unknown renewal, retention and recovery details remain unknown.

Compare the posted US prices by term#

The Nitrado US English offer page displayed the same 10-slot configuration at three subscription terms. These are the public page amounts captured on October 2, 2026, not a quote for every location or a confirmed checkout invoice. The offer page also has a separate prepaid option; its totals are not the figures in this table.

Displayed subscription term Page price Simple cost per 30 days What to check
3 days $4.09 Not comparable to a monthly rental Short term; confirm selected billing type
30 days $16.19 $16.19 Confirm tax and region in checkout
90 days $43.59 About $14.53 More paid up front; confirm the displayed total

The offer also displayed code DEEPNORTH40 and lower example amounts of $2.46, $9.72 and $26.16. The page said the discount applied when the code was used in checkout. Its end date, the eligibility of a particular account, taxes and the post-promotion renewal amount were not confirmed. Treat the promo as temporary page copy, not a guaranteed price. Recheck the checkout summary for the total, term, location and whether a recurring subscription is selected.

The price table is useful for narrowing options, but it does not say what you will be charged after a promotion, or whether the same figure applies to a different country or currency. For a fair comparison, match the selected server region, slot count, length of service and billing type. A lower total for 90 days also means paying for a longer period before you have assessed the setup.

Check whether prepaid service or auto-renew fits#

Nitrado’s public Terms and Conditions distinguish prepaid service from a subscription. Section 7 says prepaid service ends when its purchased period expires; a subscription renews unless canceled before the expiry of the current term. The terms describe purchasable durations from 3 days to 24 months and say the billing interval follows the period selected at purchase. Read Nitrado’s current terms alongside the exact US checkout screen before you choose.

That policy does not reveal the exact amount your account will pay after a discount ends. The public Valheim page showed discounted and undiscounted figures, but we did not complete checkout or inspect a customer invoice. Save the checkout summary and renewal notice so you can compare the next charge with the amount you expected. If you only want a short world session, prepaid expiry may be easier to budget; if you choose a subscription, note the cancellation deadline shown for your account.

Do not assume that the term price multiplied by a calendar conversion is an exact invoice. A 90-day offer converted to 30-day units is just arithmetic for comparison; it does not establish tax, renewal price, regional availability or a monthly cancellation right.

Understand what the backup tools save#

Nitrado documents two relevant kinds of backup operation. Its Valheim World Manager guide describes manual world-level backup, copy, activation and deletion through Tools > World Manager. It separately describes whole-server restoration through Tools > Restore Backup. The Nitrado backup overview says World Manager backups are supported for Valheim, can be started manually and are not directly downloadable as backup objects.

The broader system-backup article says downloads can be made through FTP or File Browser for supported backups, but it does not give a Valheim-specific number of retained copies or retention period. That is a material distinction: a world-level backup object and a set of downloadable server files are different things. The public documents checked here do not establish how many days or versions of a Valheim world will be retained on a particular server.

Before a risky world change, identify the restore route and make a separate copy of the world files. Ask support which backup schedule, retention and restore controls apply to the exact server. A documented menu path is useful evidence of a feature; it is not proof that a specific saved world will restore successfully.

Confirm that your Valheim 1.0 world can move#

Nitrado’s recent Valheim world upload guide describes the folder-based world format used after the 1.0 update. It lists files such as .chunk, .chunks, .db2, .fwl2 and .ok, and explains that the world folder name must match the world name set in the server settings. This supersedes older instructions that describe only the earlier .db and .fwl pair.

The same guide documents two upload routes: transfer the full world folder over FTP, or stop the server and use File Browser to create the folder and upload the files inside it. Nitrado’s newer local server backup guide documents copying server files to a local directory over FTP. These sources outline file access and upload steps; we did not log into a Nitrado panel, export a world, or complete a round trip. Keep an untouched copy and verify the imported world before discarding another copy.

There is also a platform boundary. The offer page reviewed here was labeled for PC and listed crossplay support for PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5 and Switch 2. That page statement does not verify every edition’s joining flow or every console’s ability to export a save file. Nitrado’s guide says a console save cannot be exported as files directly from the console; confirm how the world currently lives before planning a migration. Iron Gate’s dedicated-server manual describes the game’s crossplay relay for dedicated servers, including self-hosted servers, so renting is not the only route to crossplay.

Check the limits of the published mod and platform claims#

The Nitrado offer page reviewed on October 2 listed Valheim Plus and BepInEx as supported. Its separate Valheim FAQ still says “other mods are currently not supported,” while that FAQ page is dated December 1, 2022. Those pages do not spell out a current version matrix or define what “supported” covers. If your group depends on a particular mod, ask Nitrado whether that exact mod and Valheim 1.0 version are supported, and whether every player must install matching client files.

Iron Gate’s official Valheim 1.0 FAQ sets vanilla multiplayer at a maximum of 10 simultaneous players. That game-wide maximum is not a guarantee that a particular modded world will perform well at the limit. Nitrado’s listed 10 slots correspond to the game’s published vanilla ceiling, but the provider does not disclose the offer’s CPU or RAM allocation on the page checked. A slot count describes the advertised player places, not a benchmark or workload test.

For platform-specific groups, confirm the actual server listing and join method for every edition you use. The Nitrado page says crossplay is offered across named platforms, but this review did not create a server or test cross-platform joins. If one friend’s edition is the reason for choosing a provider, get the exact answer for that edition before the group transfers a shared world.

Choose the alternative that fits your decision#

Nitrado is a reasonable candidate to investigate if you want an advertised 10-slot Valheim configuration, selectable terms, and public documentation for World Manager and file-based world handling. The listed 30-day amount was lower than Game Hosting’s 8 GB Valheim plan on the date checked, but the plans publish different resource details: Nitrado did not state RAM or CPU on its offer page, while Game Hosting lists memory tiers and a recommended player count. That is not a like-for-like performance or value verdict.

Compare the choices against the need that matters to your group:

Your priority What the public information supports Next check
Lowest visible 30-day Nitrado subscription amount $16.19 for 10 slots before the displayed code on October 2, 2026 Confirm current location, taxes and renewal in checkout
Published memory tier Game Hosting lists 4, 6 and 8 GB Valheim plans Match your group size and mod requirements; recommendations are not benchmarks
Manual world management Nitrado documents World Manager backup and whole-server restore Ask for Valheim-specific retention and backup download details
Three backup slots with download controls Game Hosting lists three panel backup slots with scheduling, restore, download and locking Three slots are finite; keep an independent world copy
Manage the server yourself Iron Gate publishes its dedicated-server manual Account for the machine, networking, maintenance and recovery work

The right comparison depends on your actual group, not on an anecdotal lag complaint or a headline slot count. Search results and forum posts can point to questions, but they cannot isolate whether a reported connection or performance issue came from the host, a client, a mod, a route or the world. This review makes no provider-wide lag finding and reports no benchmark.

Save these questions before choosing#

Before you commit a world to any server, write down the exact term and billing type, final checkout amount, renewal amount, the backup retention that applies to Valheim, and the steps to copy your current 1.0 world back out. If you rely on a mod or a console edition, ask about that exact version and joining flow. Keep your original world until a separate copy has loaded correctly.

Use the Valheim hosting buyer guide to compare broader crew requirements, or see the GPORTAL Valheim review for another provider’s offer and documented limits. A capable group can also run Iron Gate’s dedicated server itself if it wants to own the machine and maintenance. Whichever route you choose, keep the decision tied to terms and procedures you can verify.

Quick answers

How much does a Nitrado Valheim server cost?

On Nitrado’s US offer page checked October 2, 2026, the displayed 10-slot subscription terms were $4.09 for 3 days, $16.19 for 30 days, and $43.59 for 90 days before the displayed promo code. Confirm your region, taxes, term, and final total in checkout.

Does a Nitrado Valheim server show its RAM allocation?

The US Valheim offer page checked for this review lists 10 slots but does not publish a RAM or CPU allocation. Ask Nitrado about the selected configuration if those resources are a buying requirement.

Can I download a Valheim world from Nitrado?

Nitrado documents copying server files locally over FTP and uploading current Valheim 1.0 world folders through FTP or File Browser. The documented process is not a successful export-and-restore test, so verify a copy before deleting or canceling anything.

Does a Nitrado Valheim server renew automatically?

Nitrado’s public terms say prepaid service ends at expiry, while a subscription renews unless canceled before the term ends. The exact post-promotion amount was not confirmed here; check the total shown for your account and region.
