RHS Arma Reforger Server: Versions, Mods & Console Space
Check the RHS Arma Reforger version, required Workshop items and console storage limits before you change a server mod list.
You will need
- Access to the Arma Reforger Workshop
- A server and clients on the same game branch
- A verified backup before replacing a live mod list or scenario
If you are setting up an RHS Arma Reforger server, match the Stable or Experimental branch first, then include the Status Quo mod and both required Content Packs. The current Stable listing is tagged for game 1.8.0.13, while the newer RHS 0.17.5261 changelog entry is Experimental-only. Console support for this specific mod is not confirmed, and the mod’s own download size does not tell you its server RAM use. This reference records the Workshop facts and the checks to make before changing a live server; it does not claim a successful boot or console join.
Check what RHS Status Quo adds#
RHS - Status Quo is a Red Hammer Studios (RHS) Workshop mod for modern military factions, equipment, vehicles and game systems. The current Workshop item is identified by 595F2BF2F44836FB; its listed dependencies are RHS - Content Pack 01 and RHS - Content Pack 02. Open the official Status Quo Workshop entry and its dependency links as you prepare the list. Workshop metadata can change, so treat the item page as the live source for versions and requirements.
The author documentation shows an RHS Conflict scenario example, {AAD43C10045857C1}Missions/RHS_Conflict.conf, and directs server owners to current Workshop scenario IDs. That is a documented example, not a startup result from this review. A scenario may have its own requirements; confirm those on its current Workshop page before selecting it. If you are learning how the server’s mod list works generally, see the Arma Reforger Workshop and server mods guide.
Check the RHS Arma Reforger version branch#
The Stable RHS listing checked Oct. 31, 2026, shows mod 0.16.5237 for Arma Reforger 1.8.0.13. The RHS changelog’s later 0.17.5261 entry is marked Experimental, and RHS says that its Experimental Workshop is separate and releases independently. Do not copy a newer Experimental version into a Stable server just because its number is higher.
| Item | Current listing checked | Game branch tag |
|---|---|---|
| Arma Reforger Stable | 1.8.0.13 | Stable |
| RHS - Status Quo | 0.16.5237 | 1.8.0.13 |
| RHS - Status Quo newer changelog entry | 0.17.5261 | Experimental only |
| Arma Reforger Experimental | 1.9.0.10 | Experimental |
These are dated snapshots, not a promise that the versions remain current. Before a change, compare the game build and every Workshop item on the same branch. Keep clients on the branch the server uses as well: a matching mod name does not make two game builds interchangeable. Bohemia lists separate Experimental applications for Steam and Xbox in the current Experimental release notes; those notes do not establish an Experimental client for every console. If your group is staying on Stable, pin the plan to the Stable app and recheck the Workshop tags after a server update. Do not infer compatibility from a version number alone: authors can release a mod update independently of a game patch, and a listing tag is not a pass/fail test. The official RHS installation notes explain its separate Experimental Workshop.
Add the Workshop ID and its dependencies#
The server setup guide identifies the mod with ID 595F2BF2F44836FB and the display name RHS: Status Quo. Its dependency list names both Content Packs. Use the official Workshop pages to add the current items through the panel or your normal server configuration workflow; do not guess a version from a third-party list. The RHS server setup page shows the author’s configuration example and scenario reference.
Before editing a live server, write down the existing mod IDs and versions, create a backup, and verify that you can restore it. Stage the new list on a test instance if available. Check that the server configuration parses and that each dependency appears in the resolved list. Those checks show that the configuration is internally consistent; only starting the exact server build and joining with intended clients can establish runtime compatibility. Keep the old list and backup until the new combination is confirmed. If the scenario changes as well as the mods, treat it as a separate change: record which profile and scenario were active, confirm the backup contains the server data you need, and verify the recovery steps on a test copy. Do not combine a mod update, scenario switch and profile wipe into one untraceable change. I did not perform those tests here.
If you use Game Hosting, its Arma mod panel currently exposes Workshop author, version, dependencies, item size, update risk and platform storage checks for the mod list. That can make the list easier to inspect before restarting, but a panel entry is not evidence that RHS supports a console or that a particular mod combination will start. The guide to adding Arma Reforger mods explains the general workflow.
Check console storage before inviting players#
The Status Quo item alone is listed at 194.85 MB, but it requires two additional packs. Bohemia’s published console mod storage limits are 25 GB on PS5 and up to 50 GB on Xbox. The current item page does not show how much free space a particular player has, and the base item’s size excludes its dependencies. Count the full required list and the player’s other installed mods before scheduling a console session.
The three current listings checked on Oct. 31 show the following sizes. They are rounded display metadata, not a measured combined download.
| Workshop item by Red Hammer Studios | Mod version | Game tag | Listed size |
|---|---|---|---|
| RHS - Status Quo | 0.16.5237 | 1.8.0.13 | 194.85 MB |
| RHS - Content Pack 01 | 0.16.5236 | 1.8.0.13 | 5.91 GB |
| RHS - Content Pack 02 | 0.16.5236 | 1.8.0.13 | 2.08 GB |
Those displayed components add up to roughly 8.2 GB before other mods, as a planning estimate from rounded listing values rather than a tested download total.
RHS-specific support on Xbox and PS5 is unconfirmed in the current RHS sources checked. Bohemia’s server configuration supports either PC only or a combined PC, Xbox and PS5 cross-platform setting; it does not let a server choose an arbitrary pair of platforms. That global setting does not establish that RHS or every dependency is available and compatible on either console. Ask each console player to check the same current Workshop items in their game before the group commits to a modded session. For general crossplay rules, read how Arma Reforger crossplay works.
If a required item will not download, note the exact item, game build, platform, available storage and error text before retrying. Bohemia’s mod-use guide covers common download failures. Do not remove saves or wipe the profile as a first troubleshooting step; preserve a backup and confirm recovery before any destructive change.
Do not use download size to predict server RAM#
Workshop size measures content downloaded to a client, not the memory a dedicated server needs while running it. The Status Quo listing’s 194.85 MB is not an RSS measurement, a player-capacity estimate or a plan recommendation. I did not benchmark RHS on a server. Dependencies and the scenario can change runtime behavior, so use actual server monitoring for a memory decision. Our Arma Reforger RAM guide explains how to assess memory without treating file size as a proxy.
The Game Hosting Arma mod panel can show Workshop metadata and total listed mod sizes against console storage limits. Those checks help spot a large download list before players join; they do not test RAM, boot success, performance or console compatibility. If performance is the question, test the same scenario, mod versions and player workload you intend to run, then use server measurements rather than the Workshop download total.
Separate the Supporter Pack from the gameplay mod#
The Steam Modder Supporter Pack #1 is separate from RHS - Status Quo. Bohemia’s announcement says the supporter pack adds no gameplay content and that RHS Workshop mods remain free. You do not need to buy that pack to download the Status Quo mod.
RHS also publishes its own Status Quo license terms. Those terms restrict commercial use and describe limits on monetized modded server instances, including paid access or priority and benefits tied to donations. They do not clearly address whether a paid third-party hosting rental falls within that wording, so this article makes no legal conclusion about a hosting arrangement. If your server is monetized or promoted commercially, read the current RHS terms and ask RHS about your specific use before proceeding. This is the mod author’s policy, separate from the game’s own rules.
Make a reversible change before game night#
Use the item pages as a dated snapshot, then recheck them on the day you plan the update. Record the branch, game build, each mod ID and version, scenario, and console platforms the group has actually confirmed. Back up the server profile first and verify the recovery path before changing scenarios or replacing a live mod list. This keeps a Workshop update or storage problem from becoming an avoidable lost evening.
For another mod-specific version reference, see ACE Medical’s Arma Reforger branches and dependencies. It covers a different mod stack and makes the same distinction between Workshop metadata and tested compatibility.
