Refine it at the Forge of Potential
Valheim 1.0’s Forge of Potential upgrades it with Black Metal Protection Idol instead of materials (1 per try), and can take it past quality 4. Each try succeeds 65% of the time. 35% of tries destroy the item, giving back 35% of the materials of its first craft and its last upgrade, rounded up.
Valheim 1.0.17, read from the dedicated server files. Chances are per kill or per chest, as the game rolls them. Biomes come from the game’s spawn and location lists; a few dungeon props carry none.
