How Palworld works out a Pal’s stats
The formulas
- HP
- 500 + 5 × level + base × level × 0.5 × (1 + IV × 0.3%)
- Attack
- 100 + base × level × 0.075 × (1 + IV × 0.3%)
- Defense
- 50 + base × level × 0.075 × (1 + IV × 0.3%)
- Then
- × (1 + 5% per condenser star) × (1 + 3% per Statue of Power rank) × (1 + passives)
- Base
- the species’ base stat (the alpha’s for alphas and Lucky Pals) + trust rank × its trust bonus, +10% if awakened
Rounded down after the IV part and again at the end, in the game’s 32-bit math. Checked against the HP two real Palworld 1.0.5 saves store for all 972 of their Pals: every one matched, condenser stars, trust ranks, Statue of Power ranks, alphas and Lucky Pals included. Saves don’t store Attack or Defense, so those follow the calculator’s formula without that check.

Quick answers
How do I find my Pal’s IVs in Palworld?
The game hides them. Open the Pal’s status screen and note its level, HP, Attack and Defense. Pick the Pal above, set its level, condenser stars, trust, Statue of Power ranks, passives and whether it’s an alpha or Lucky, then type the three numbers: the calculator gives each IV, or a range when several IVs round to the same number. Or load your world and pick the Pal: the save stores its exact IVs, so nothing has to be read off the screen.
What are IVs in Palworld?
Hidden values from 0 to 100 for HP, Attack and Defense that every Pal gets when it’s caught or hatched. Each point adds 0.3% to the part of the stat that grows with level, so at 100 that part is 30% bigger than at 0: a level 80 Anubis has 5,700 HP and 880 Attack with IVs 0, 7,140 and 1,114 with IVs 100. They never change. An egg copies one to three of them from its parents and rolls the rest, so 90+ parents give better odds. Mutated eggs always hatch with IVs of 90 to 100, and wild alphas and Lucky Pals have at least 50 (the game’s own settings). Work Speed has no IV.
How are a Pal’s stats worked out?
HP is 500 + 5 × level + base × level × 0.5 × (1 + IV × 0.3%). Attack is 100 + base × level × 0.075 × (1 + IV × 0.3%), and Defense the same from 50. The result is rounded down, then multiplied by the condenser (+5% a star), the Statue of Power (+3% a rank) and passives, and rounded down again. An Anubis at level 50 has 3,750 HP with IV 0 and 4,650 with IV 100. We checked the HP against the max HP two 1.0.5 saves store for 972 Pals and it matched every one. Saves don’t store Attack or Defense, so those weren’t checked the same way: when no IV gives your exact number, the calculator shows the IVs one point off and says so.
Why does it give a range of IVs?
At low levels a stat grows slowly, so several IVs round to the same number: a level 5 Lamball with 731 HP could have an HP IV from 60 to 60. Level it up and check again, or load your save for the exact numbers.
What does trust do to stats?
Trust goes from rank 0 to 10 as you spend time with a Pal. Each rank adds the species’ own trust bonus to its base stats before levels and IVs: a Lamball’s base HP of 70 gains 5.5 per rank. The ranks start at 6,000, 13,000, 21,000, 30,000, 40,000, 55,000, 80,000, 110,000, 150,000, 200,000 trust points (the game’s DT_FriendshipRankTable). Loading your save reads each Pal’s trust points.
What do condenser stars, Pal Souls and the Statue of Power add?
Each condenser star adds 5% HP, Attack and Defense (+20% at 4 stars) and 10% Work Speed; the fourth star also adds 1 to every work suitability. Pal Souls are spent at the Statue of Power: up to 20 ranks per stat (HP, Attack, Defense, Work Speed), +3% each. Both multiply the stat after IVs, and our check against real saves confirms the 5% and the 3%.
Do alphas and Lucky Pals have better stats?
Yes, more HP: 287 of the 299 Pals here have 1.2 × the base HP as an alpha, with the same Attack and Defense (a Lamball goes from 70 to 84). A Lucky Pal is stored as an alpha in the save and uses the same stats, plus the Lucky passive (+15% Attack, +15% Defense, +20% Work Speed). A mutated egg hatches an alpha too. Tick “Alpha, Lucky or mutated” for any of them.
How much does awakening add?
Awakening a Pal with its element’s crystal (made from Radiant Gems dropped by Awakening Pals on the World Tree) adds 10% to its base HP, Attack and Defense, before levels and IVs. Saves we read don’t say whether a Pal is awakened, so tick it yourself.
Can I check my own Pals without typing anything?
Yes. Choose your world folder, the SaveGames folder or a .zip under “Pick one of your own Pals”. Your browser reads the save on your device (nothing is uploaded) and lists your Pals; pick one to see its exact stats from its real IVs, stars, trust, statue ranks and passives. The Palbox and the breeding path share the same read, so you only pick the folder once.
Which passives change stats?
Only the ones with HP, Attack, Defense or Work Speed: Brave, Ferocious and Demon God for Attack, Hard Skin, Burly Body and Diamond Body for Defense, Serious, Artisan and Remarkable Craftsmanship for Work Speed, Legend, Lucky, the World Tree passives (some cut HP) and the negatives. Passives for the same stat add up. Element boosts, speed and hunger passives don’t change these numbers.
