85 pairs make Hangyu in Palworld: 84 of different Pals, plus two Hangyu. The easiest is Kelpsea (wild, Lv 1–30) with Celaray (wild, Lv 1–30), then Pengullet + Croajiro. You can also catch it from Lv 9 to 38 (lowest near Golden Hills), so breeding it gets you one sooner.
Its breeding power is 2,780, between Killamari (2,770) and Fuddler (2,790): two parents whose powers average closest to 2,780 make Hangyu. Lower powers are the rarer Pals.
The easiest pairs
Sorted by how soon you can catch both parents: their lowest wild level, then how common and how hard to catch they are. Each card is one pair to put in the Breeding Farm; open it to see the egg in the calculator.

Passives
Hangyu has no passive of its own: a bred Hangyu inherits up to four from its two parents, at random.
To get the passives you want, pick them in the Breeding path: it finds which of your Pals carry them and the shortest route.

Mutated eggs never hatch Hangyu
A mutated egg only hatches Pals with a breeding power of 1,860 or lower (lower is rarer). Hangyu’s is 2,780, too common for any pair’s mutated egg. About 1 in 100 Breeding Farm eggs (1 in 33 with Extravagant Vegetable Cake) is mutated, but never into Hangyu.
What Hangyu’s mutated eggs hatch
Two Hangyu make a mutated egg of 29 Pals, most often Smokie Cryst (4%), Dynamoff (3.6%) and Leafan (3.6%). With other partners, Hangyu’s mutated eggs can hatch 68 different Pals. The rarest, with the partner that gives each one most often:
- Menastingwith Bastigor: 100% of mutants, 1 in 33 eggs
- Helzephyrwith Frostallion Noct: 91% of mutants, 1 in 37 eggs
- Omasculwith Neptilius: 63% of mutants, 1 in 53 eggs
- Starryonwith Knocklem Ignis: 48% of mutants, 1 in 70 eggs
- Verdashwith Knocklem: 38% of mutants, 1 in 87 eggs
- Gildrawith Selyne: 28% of mutants, 1 in 120 eggs
- Wistellawith Selyne: 28% of mutants, 1 in 120 eggs
- Bulldosuwith Blazamut: 24% of mutants, 1 in 137 eggs

Quick answers
What two Pals make Hangyu?
85 pairs do, two Hangyu included. The easiest to set up: Kelpsea + Celaray, Pengullet + Croajiro and Pengullet + Jellroy. Any pair works with one male and one female; level and passives don’t change the species.
Where do I catch Hangyu?
It spawns from Lv 9 to 38 (lowest near Golden Hills). Eggs found in the world hatch it too: 2.89% of the eggs in Grass Egg nests (grade 2), as a Rocky Egg and 2.14% of the eggs in Grass Egg nests (grade 1), as a Rocky Egg. The map shows every spawn point by day and night.
What does Hangyu breed into?
With other Pals, Hangyu makes 109 different Pals. The rarest: Dynamoff (with Panthalus), Leafan (with Shaolong) and Skutlass (with Jetragon). Two Hangyu make Hangyu.
Does gender matter when breeding Hangyu?
Only that one parent is male and the other female. Which parent is which doesn’t change the egg. A bred Hangyu is male about 50% of the time.
Can Hangyu hatch from a mutated egg?
No. A mutated egg only hatches Pals with a breeding power of 1,860 or lower (lower is rarer). Hangyu’s is 2,780, too common for any pair’s mutated egg. It only comes from the pairs above.
What are Hangyu’s stats at level 50?
At level 50 with IVs from 0 to 100, Hangyu has 2,750–3,350 HP, 362–441 Attack and 312–391 Defense, before condenser, trust, Statue of Power and passives. An alpha Hangyu has 3,150–3,870 HP.
What does Hangyu drop?
Fiber ×5–10 (100%) and Wheat Seeds ×1 (100%). The alpha Bringer of Luck Hangyu also drops Ancient Civilization Parts ×2–3 (100%) and Precious Pelt ×2–3 (100%).
