How to breed Xenogard in Palworld

Step-by-step guide

#146

Xenogard

Dragon

  • Get itOnly from its own kind
  • Breeding power990
  • Male eggs50%
  • EggHuge Dragon Egg

Xenogard can’t be bred from other Pals: only a male and a female Xenogard make another one. It isn’t caught in the open world. After that, every Xenogard egg is a Xenogard.

Its breeding power is 990. The formula never makes Xenogard, but as a parent it counts like any Pal: the lower the parents’ powers, the rarer the egg.

Why only its own kind

Some Pals are left out of the breeding formula: most legendaries, raid and tower bosses and a few others. No pair of other Pals ever makes them, however close their breeding power is. A male and a female Xenogard make a Xenogard egg; everything else Xenogard breeds with makes another Pal (below).

Shortest chain from early-game Pals

No chain of breeds reaches Xenogard: catch Xenogard itself first.

Where to catch Xenogard and its parents

  • XenogardNot in the open world: breed it.

Passives

Every Xenogard is born with Otherworldly Cells, bred or caught; it doesn’t need to be inherited.

  • Otherworldly CellsAttack +10% Fire damage reduction 15% Lightning damage reduction 15%

To get the passives you want, pick them in the Breeding path: it finds which of your Pals carry them and the shortest route.

Mutated eggs never hatch Xenogard

Xenogard isn’t on the game’s list of Pals a mutated egg can hatch, which leaves out legendaries, raid and tower Pals, Terraria monsters and a few variants. About 1 in 100 Breeding Farm eggs (1 in 33 with Extravagant Vegetable Cake) is mutated, but never into Xenogard.

What Xenogard’s mutated eggs hatch

Two Xenogard make a mutated egg of 9 Pals, most often Dualith (15%), Univolt Cryst (15%) and Silvegis (15%). With other partners, Xenogard’s mutated eggs can hatch 89 different Pals. The rarest, with the partner that gives each one most often:
