How to breed Selyne in Palworld
Step-by-step guide#190
Selyne
DarkNeutral
- Get itWild, Lv 76–80 (World Tree)
- Breeding power360
- Male eggs20%
- EggHuge Dark Egg
Selyne can’t be bred from other Pals: only a male and a female Selyne make another one. Catch it first: it spawns from Lv 76 to 80 on the World Tree. After that, every Selyne egg is a Selyne.
Its breeding power is 360. The formula never makes Selyne, but as a parent it counts like any Pal: the lower the parents’ powers, the rarer the egg.
Why only its own kind
Some Pals are left out of the breeding formula: most legendaries, raid and tower bosses and a few others. No pair of other Pals ever makes them, however close their breeding power is. A male and a female Selyne make a Selyne egg; everything else Selyne breeds with makes another Pal (below).
Shortest chain from early-game Pals
No chain of breeds reaches Selyne: catch Selyne itself first.
Where to catch Selyne and its parents
- SelyneSpawns from Lv 76 to 80 on the World Tree. Eggs found in the world hatch it too: 2.31% of the eggs in World Tree Egg nests (grade 1), as a Huge Dark Egg.Map
Passives
Selyne has no passive of its own: a bred Selyne inherits up to four from its two parents, at random.
To get the passives you want, pick them in the Breeding path: it finds which of your Pals carry them and the shortest route.

Mutated eggs never hatch Selyne
Selyne isn’t on the game’s list of Pals a mutated egg can hatch, which leaves out legendaries, raid and tower Pals, Terraria monsters and a few variants. About 1 in 100 Breeding Farm eggs (1 in 33 with Extravagant Vegetable Cake) is mutated, but never into Selyne.
What Selyne’s mutated eggs hatch
Two Selyne make a mutated egg of 3 Pals, most often Tetroise Primo (56%), Knocklem Ignis (33%) and Jormuntide Ignis (11%). With other partners, Selyne’s mutated eggs can hatch 89 different Pals. The rarest, with the partner that gives each one most often:
- Eidrolon Igniswith Bastigor: 100% of mutants, 1 in 33 eggs
- Jormuntide Igniswith Jormuntide Ignis: 100% of mutants, 1 in 33 eggs

Quick answers
What two Pals make Selyne?
Only two Selyne, a male and a female. No pair of other Pals makes it.
Where do I catch Selyne?
It spawns from Lv 76 to 80 on the World Tree. Eggs found in the world hatch it too: 2.31% of the eggs in World Tree Egg nests (grade 1), as a Huge Dark Egg. The map shows every spawn point by day and night.
What does Selyne breed into?
With other Pals, Selyne makes 79 different Pals. The rarest: Ophydia (with Frostallion Noct), Knocklem (with Jormuntide Ignis) and Solenne (with Paladius). Two Selyne make Selyne.
Does gender matter when breeding Selyne?
Only that one parent is male and the other female. Which parent is which doesn’t change the egg. A bred Selyne is male about 20% of the time.
Can Selyne hatch from a mutated egg?
No. Selyne isn’t on the game’s list of Pals a mutated egg can hatch, which leaves out legendaries, raid and tower Pals, Terraria monsters and a few variants. It only comes from two of its kind.
What are Selyne’s stats at level 50?
At level 50 with IVs from 0 to 100, Selyne has 4,000–4,975 HP, 531–660 Attack and 462–586 Defense, before condenser, trust, Statue of Power and passives. An alpha Selyne has 4,650–5,819 HP.
