How to breed Shaolong in Palworld
Step-by-step guide#192
Shaolong
DragonWater
- Get itWild, Lv 76 (World Tree)
- Breeding power40
- Male eggs50%
- EggHuge Dragon Egg
Shaolong can’t be bred from other Pals: only a male and a female Shaolong make another one. Catch it first: it spawns from Lv 76 on the World Tree. After that, every Shaolong egg is a Shaolong.
Its breeding power is 40. The formula never makes Shaolong, but as a parent it counts like any Pal: the lower the parents’ powers, the rarer the egg.
Why only its own kind
Some Pals are left out of the breeding formula: most legendaries, raid and tower bosses and a few others. No pair of other Pals ever makes them, however close their breeding power is. A male and a female Shaolong make a Shaolong egg; everything else Shaolong breeds with makes another Pal (below).
Shortest chain from early-game Pals
No chain of breeds reaches Shaolong: catch Shaolong itself first.
Where to catch Shaolong and its parents
- ShaolongSpawns from Lv 76 on the World Tree. Eggs found in the world hatch it too: 2.31% of the eggs in World Tree Egg nests (grade 1), as a Huge Dragon Egg.Map
Passives
Shaolong has no passive of its own: a bred Shaolong inherits up to four from its two parents, at random.
To get the passives you want, pick them in the Breeding path: it finds which of your Pals carry them and the shortest route.

Mutated eggs never hatch Shaolong
Shaolong isn’t on the game’s list of Pals a mutated egg can hatch, which leaves out legendaries, raid and tower Pals, Terraria monsters and a few variants. About 1 in 100 Breeding Farm eggs (1 in 33 with Extravagant Vegetable Cake) is mutated, but never into Shaolong.
What Shaolong’s mutated eggs hatch
Two Shaolong make a mutated egg of Aegidron. With other partners, Shaolong’s mutated eggs can hatch 81 different Pals. The rarest, with the partner that gives each one most often:
- Aegidronwith Jormuntide Ignis: 100% of mutants, 1 in 33 eggs

Quick answers
What two Pals make Shaolong?
Only two Shaolong, a male and a female. No pair of other Pals makes it.
Where do I catch Shaolong?
It spawns from Lv 76 on the World Tree. Eggs found in the world hatch it too: 2.31% of the eggs in World Tree Egg nests (grade 1), as a Huge Dragon Egg. The map shows every spawn point by day and night.
What does Shaolong breed into?
With other Pals, Shaolong makes 69 different Pals. The rarest: Aegidron (with Jormuntide Ignis), Ophydia (with Blazamut) and Knocklem (with Anubis). Two Shaolong make Shaolong.
Does gender matter when breeding Shaolong?
Only that one parent is male and the other female. Which parent is which doesn’t change the egg. A bred Shaolong is male about 50% of the time.
Can Shaolong hatch from a mutated egg?
No. Shaolong isn’t on the game’s list of Pals a mutated egg can hatch, which leaves out legendaries, raid and tower Pals, Terraria monsters and a few variants. It only comes from two of its kind.
What are Shaolong’s stats at level 50?
At level 50 with IVs from 0 to 100, Shaolong has 4,250–5,300 HP, 606–758 Attack and 500–635 Defense, before condenser, trust, Statue of Power and passives. An alpha Shaolong has 4,950–6,210 HP.
What does Shaolong drop?
Below level 70: Horn ×1 (100%), Leather ×1 (100%) and Large Pal Soul ×1 (100%). From level 70 on, it drops a different list instead (see the table above). The alpha Water God Shaolong also drops Ancient Civilization Parts ×8–9 (100%) and Precious Dragon Stone ×2–3 (100%).
